Scholarship to The Renewal Experience!
Lots of good things bubbling this week as I have completed my
Wellcoach training (EXCELLENT course) and I'll be sharing
one of the most important ideas from that in my Feature: Rule #6!
I'm also excited that Condace Pressley's "Perspectives" radio
show will air a 30 minute interview of me about our scholarship opportunity
for The Renewal Experience, my inaugural Wellbeing Weekend
for Body & Soul, April 9-11, 2010, in Highlands, NC.
The lovely Old Edwards Inn & Spa, an anonymous donor
and I are granting a $1000 scholarship to an outstanding
executive or professional woman who, as a volunteer, gives a
great deal to her community but rarely takes time to recharge
herself. To nominate someone, please visit for info:

If you want to tune into "Perspectives" it's airing Sunday 3/7
at several different times:
6am & midnight on WSB-AM750
7am on 97.1 The River
5:30am on B98.5FM
Surely LOTS of Early Birds are awake & chirping at those hours!
Which reminds me-- you only have until Wed, March 17 at midnight
to snag the Early Bird Special for The Renewal Experience-- and
spots are disappearing fast. Excitement's building and we have guests
from all over the Southeast!
If you've wanted a reason to visit a Four Star, Four Diamond Spa
for both personal & professional enrichment -- journey into yourself
in the majesty of the Blue Ridge Mountains in budding spring.
Spectacular!

P.S. Talking to Dad this morning I mentioned that I'm going
to the Atlanta Opera AIDA this weekend, and we sang a few
bars of the Triumphal March together. So fun & uplifting
to sing with my father--we sang together as a family a lot,
and I was so proud to hear him sing with the Buffalo
Philharmonic Chorus several times.
He asked, "Didn't we see that in Memphis?"
"Not exactly-- but we did hear the Triumphal March when I
walked up the aisle of Idlewild Presbyterian Church for
high school graduation!"
Ah, how innocent and triumphant we were. March Forth!

FEATURE ARTICLE --RULE NUMBER 6

Two prime ministers were sitting in a room discussing
affairs of state. Suddenly a man bursts in, apoplectic with fury,
shouting & stomping and banging his fist on the desk.
The resident prime minister admonishes him: "Peter, kindly
remember Rule Number 6," whereupon Peter is instantly
restored to complete calm, apologizes, and withdraws.
The politicians returned to their conversation, only to be
interrupted yet again 20 minutes later by an hysterical
woman gesticulating wildly, her hair flying. Again the
intruder is greeted with the words, "Marie, please remember
Rule Number 6." Complete calm descends once more, and
she too withdraws with a bow and an apology.
When the scene is repeated for a third time, the visiting prime
minister addresses his colleague: "My dear friend, I've seen
many things in my life, but never anything as remarkable
as this. Would you be willing to share with me the secret of
Rule Number 6?"
"Very simple," replies the resident prime minister. "Rule Number
6 is: Don't take yourself so g--damn seriously."
"Ah," says his visitor, "that is a fine rule."
After a moment of pondering, he inquires, "And what, may I ask,
are the other rules?"
"There aren't any."
